Kaye & Laby Online (Physical & Chemical Constants)




There have been a few queries from students about the availability of the Kaye & Laby Tables of Physical and Chemical Constants. There is a copy in the library for loan, but the text is now available online with a search engine function via NPL (National Physical Laboratory). Content is updated regularly and includes tables, data, formulae, graphs and charts from fundamental constants to fibre-optics, superconductivity to raman spectroscopy.

      New for physics students and researchers: the IOPscience online tour (in 10 languages) and the IOPscience userguide (in 5 languages) are now available. Access to the IoP Science Extra full-text eJournal and database resource is via the DIT Library website.

International Nuclear Info System (INIS)

INIS  offers online access to a unique set of non conventional literature (NCL) from the International Atomic Energy Agency. This consists of over 280,000 full text documents such as scientific and technical reports, conference proceedings, patents and theses not available through commerical channels. It also offers a mulit-lingual thesaurus.
