Academic Search Ultimate: new database trial available until end of June.

Academic Search Ultimate - Trial until 20th June 2020

Developed to meet the increasing demands of scholarly research, Academic Search Ultimate offers students an unprecedented collection of peer-reviewed, full-text journals, including many journals indexed in leading citation indexes.

Academic Search Ultimate is the expanded version of Academic Search Complete ( database - currently available via TU Dublin Library database listing.

To access Academic Search Ultimate please use the A-Z database listing on the TU Dublin Library website and access it via the Academic Search Complete database link. It will be accessible in the menu list of EBSCO databases when searching any of the current EBSCO databases.

Getting Published in Engineering: Seminar on Tuesday 28th March at 9.30am: DIT FOCAS

Getting published is a major driver in academia and is a very competitive activity. Dr. Matt Walker, a customer consultant from the publisher Elsevier, will be giving this session on how to maximize your chances of having your publication accepted by a quality journal.

Please note that the session, which will take place in the seminar room of the DIT FOCAS Research Institute, is discipline specific to engineering.

HEAR (Health Evidence Awareness Report): resource for biomeds and dietiticians: Jan 2017 edition out now

HEAR (Health Evidence Awareness Report) is a useful resource for biomeds and dietetic students and the latest edition for January 2017 is now available, The purpose of HEAR is to provide specialised information to health professionals (and the public) about key health topics. Each issue is the result of the collaborative effort of librarians from health organizations across Ireland.

This month, the focus is on obesity and resources include fast facts, media myths, the latest evidence and some helpful sites and research articles. Previous editions have focused on diabestes and online medical resources.

HEAR is made available via LENUS (the Irish Health Repository). Keep any eye out for the next one and access previous editions via LENUS
