A series of short study skills seminars for DIT students is running from Thursday 2nd Feb and the sessions are open to  students to drop in as suits. The seminars take place in DIT Kevin Street and are facilitated by the Disability Support Service. Topics include note-taking, reading strategies, essay preparation, critical thinking, referencing and

preparing for exams. Check them out if any of the topics catch your interest.

Student group study rooms are available to book at the Library Information Desk for problem based learning work and group assignments.Alternatively email us to request a study slot in advance.

There are two group study rooms in the Library: Rooms KA-206& KA-A207. The max slot is 2 hours and the max number of students permitted per room is 6.

Scholarpedia v Wikipedia

Scholarpedia is a free open access peer reviewed encyclopedia written by experts in their respective fields covering physics, computational intelligence and dynamical systems.

It aims to publish "living reviews" as opposed to research papers. The (ambitious) goal of Scholarpedia is to be a useful encyclopedic reference for scholars of different levels and is aimed at advanced undergraduate or graduate students in similar areas.

Each article in Scholarpedia has its own copyright policy, freely selected by the authors from the choices such as Creative Commons etc. Probably a better idea to cite from this resource than something from wikipedia?
