SciFinder Scholar
provides access to the Chemical Abstracts Service's (CAS) large collection of
indexed literature back to 1907. This makes SciFinder Scholar an
essential database for all research questions that have a chemical structure at
their core. In addition to the references and abstracts found in Chemical
Abstracts (1907-Present), SciFinder's comprehensive content includes
information on substances, patents, experimental and predicted properties, and
spectra.
From the
trainer: Ths is a two hour
interactive session exploring:
·
Reference searching, how to analyse and refine your
search, categorise, then save or export· Substance searching, information available in a typical substance record
· Supplier directory and how this is integrated into SciFinder
· Example: take a substance and show how to search using chemical structures and explore in a little more detail the field of structure searching; reaction searching and how to use Sciplanner.
