Past exam papers for the School of Languages now available

School of Languages past exam papers for December 2016 / January 2017 are now available. To access:
  1. Start at the DIT Library website. In the E-Resources section click on Exam Papers.
  2. Select the purple Exam Papers 2001 to date link
  3. Choose the College of Arts & Tourism, Kevin St from the list
  4. Click on the year(s) you require
  5. Select your course code e.g. DT555 and then your module code. Save/open the pdf files.
If you access the past papers from outside the DIT network you will need the Student Intranet passwords. Contact us at 01-4024894 or at kst.library@dit.ie if required.

Please note DIT Library scans and indexes every exam paper received from the DIT Kevin St Examinations office. If your exam paper is not on the list please contact the exams office or your module co-ordinator.

Getting Published in Technology & Computing: Seminar on Tuesday 28th March at 2pm

Getting published is a major driver in academia and is a very competitive activity. Dr. Matt Walker, a customer consultant from the publisher Elsevier, will be giving this session on how to maximize your chances of having your publication accepted by a quality journal.


Please note that the session which will take place in the seminar room of the DIT FOCAS Research Institute, is discipline specific to technology and computing.

New editions: New textbooks: Chemistry3 and Physics for Engineers and Scientists

New editions of the following core textbooks are now available:

8 copies are available at Shelf Number 540 BUR in Lending (Book Stack 4) and 2 copies in Short Loan at the Library Desk.







Knight: Physics for Engineers and Scientists: a Strategic Approach with Modern Physics (Pearson: 2017, 4th edition). 
6 copies are available at Shelf Number 530 KNI in Lending (Book Stack 3) and 1 copy in Short Loan at the Library Desk.

New online dissertations for DT233 and DT237 2016 now available

Online dissertations for DT233 2016 (MSc in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Biotechnology) and DT237 2016 (MSc in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance) have just been added .

To access the dissertations:

  • Start at the DIT Library website:
  • From the drop-down search menu choose Title Search
  • Input your course code e.g DT237 or DT233
  • Select the Online Dissertations option and view/download as required. 
 Tip: Sort by Reverse Year to get the 2016 titles listed first. 
 Note: To open the pdfs you will need a Library PIN

Past examination papers for engineering December 2016 / January 2017 are now available. To access the pdfs use the following links:
  • Choose your College and then select 2017
  • Click on your course code and then select your module code and year/stage/level
  • The Student Intranet password is required to access the exam papers off campus. Contact us at 01-4024894 or kst.library@dit.ie if required.
NB.The Library scans and uploads every hard-copy exam paper received from the DIT Kevin St Exams Office. If a paper is missing please contact your module coordinator.

Update re. engineering students' textbook: Saadat's Power System Analysis (3rd edition: 2011)

Due to demand from engineering students a copy of Saadat's Power System Analysis (3rd edition, 2011, PSA Publishing, USA) is now available for students at the library desk to use in the library.

Unfortunately this title is out of print so it's not possible to obtain new copies quickly from our usual supplier. It's also not available as an e-book The library is trying various out of print suppliers to get extra copies to meet demand. We'll keep you posted!
