The Beilstein database is a cornerstone database in organic chemistry and indexes substances, reactions and literature. Gmelin contains a comprehensive data collection in orgnaometallic and inorganic chemistry containing over 2.2 million compounds and 1.6 million reactions.Access to these databases requires the installation of the Crossfire Commander on your pc - please contact IT servies. A username and password is also required and can be obtained from Kevin St Library - kst.library@dit.ie. Please note that access is restricted to staff and students of DIT.
