Emerald Reading ListAssist

Emerald Reading ListAssist is Emerald's free, unique peer reviewed reading list service by subject.

The service is a collection of over 50 reading lists and accompanying editorials covering over 18 subject.

The rigorous academic construction of Emerald Reading ListAssist assures a high level of quality for the user. Each reading list is peer-reviewed by subject experts as well as in-house reviewers to make sure  ensure only the highest levels of quality and content.

Every article has been marked for specific attributes which provide information on the article's practical and literary features.

This service directs users to existing Emerald content. As such, access to articles within the reading lists will be subject to your existing level of subscription. The percentage of content available, by product, is shown underneath the abstract for each reading list.

Kevin St Easter Opening Hours are as follows:

• Mon 2nd - Wed 4th April: 9.30am-9.30pm
• Thursday 5th April: 9.30am-3pm
• Friday 6th - Monday 9th April: Closed
• Tuesday 10th April: 9.30am-3pm
• Wednesday 11th April: 9.30am-9.30pm

Term hours apply from Wed 11th April:

• Monday - Thursday: 9.30am-9.30pm
• Fridays: 9.30am-5.15pm
• Saturdays: 9.30am-4.30pm

IEEE Xplore database changes

From next week new features incorporated into IEEE Xplore will include:

• New and improved IEEE personal account registration process
• New citation diagrams
• Full-text PDF access to over three million documents from over 1.6 million authors;
•  Highly-cited, peer-reviewed research  including:
  • 154 IEEE journals, magazines, and transactions
  • 27 IET journals and magazines, plus 20+ IET conference titles
  • Proceedings from over 1,200 IEEE conferences.
• More than 2,200 approved and published IEEE standards in key technology fields
• Self Paced Training Tutorials
• Enhanced and more streamlined abstract page
• Enhanced browsing by title with the inclusion of refinements

St Patricks Day Public Holiday

DIT Kevin St Library will be closed on Saturday 17th March and Monday 19th March for the St Patrick's Holiday Weekend.

Usual opening hours resume on Tuesday 20th March. 

Keep an eye out for the 'global greening' as the Niagara Falls and Leaning Tower of Pisa amongst others turn green.

IEEE Xplore Database remote access

There have been lots of questions recently re. accessing the IEEE Xplore Digital Library database from outside the DIT network. At the moment an Athens password is required for remote access.
