Periodic Table Turns 150

2019 marks the 150th anniversary of the publication of Dmitri Mendeleev's original Periodic Table of Chemical Elements.  



The Journal "Science" explores the significance of the Periodic Table in its current issue Vol. 363 Issue 6426, 1st February 2019.  This issue is now available to read in Kevin Street Library.

Having difficulty accessing e-books off campus?

Hi Everyone.
It has come to our attention that some of you are having difficulty accessing certain e-books off campus. If such a situation arises try the following:

1.  You will need your student number and library PIN. If you don't have a library PIN set up yet, see how to do so under PIN in the A-Z on the library homepage.

2.   Also on the library homepage click e-books which is under the heading e-resources. You will see the following:
3.   For Ebsco or Proquest create a publisher account if asked to do so. You should then be able to access the e-books you require.

In this short webinar, our expert will demonstrate the new free Publons researcher profile, where you can import your publications from the Web of Science, visualise your citation metrics, display your verified peer reviewing activities, all in one place. You will learn how to register, manage, import your publications from Web of Science and other sources, and download your profile.

3. Manage your references with EndNote (in English).

In this session we will cover typical workflows researchers follow to manage relevant publications they have discovered and correctly cite them in a publication of their own. We will include the use of Kopernio to help pull together full text and metadata and will cover both the online and desktop versions of EndNote.
